A Virtual Film Festival for Asian and Pacific American Youth
The Take 9 Virtual Youth Film Festival (Take 9) was established in 2021 with the mission to dedicate space for Asian American and Pacific Islander filmmakers.
This Film Festival is the first and only film festival that focuses on highlighting the diverse stories of aspiring filmmakers in the US ages 16-25.
Our objective is to create and provide a virtual and interactive platform to showcase films that are written, produced and directed by AANHPI youth.
Through this festival, we wish to promote, support, empower and encourage better understandings of our AANHPI communities and cultures through film, as well as provide professional networking opportunities and resources for aspiring filmmakers in media arts.
The 2022 Take 9 Festival will tentatively be held in September, 2022. Details to be announced soon!
