Children of War Short Film

ACMA is proud to serve as the fiscal sponsor for an evocative historical short film titled “Children of War”,  helmed by actor and filmmaker Arnold Chun.

This poignant narrative is deeply rooted in Arnold’s journey, drawing inspiration from his father’s tumultuous childhood experiences amid the backdrop of the Korean War, where he found himself orphaned.

Through this project, Arnold endeavors to honor the resilience of those who endured the ravages of war, shedding light on the untold stories of survival and perseverance. By weaving together elements of history and human resilience, the film seeks to pay homage to the survivors of the Korean War and establish a lasting legacy for generations to come.   This project is to build their legacy and to share with future generations never to forget “The Forgotten War”

Logline: Inspired by a true story, a resilient 7-year-old boy and his band of orphans navigate the chaos of the Korean War as they hang on to the hope of finding their families.

Our goal is to raise $150K by end of April to recreate war-torn 1950s Korea and capture that time period with authenticity in the film. We will also donate a portion of our raise to a partnered charity that helps orphans in war-ravaged countries.
