E4Women in Health & Wellness
The pandemic has caused many of us to withdraw from our normal lifestyles, creating new types of stress, anxiety, and daily habits. For some, it is difficult to regain control over our daily routines and mentality.
Join us on March 25, 2021, for a live discussion with licensed professionals on natural medicine and mental health. Attendance is free, but registration is required.
E4Women in Business
The E4Women in Business Webinar featured 4 women who had left their former occupations to pursue their own entrepreneurial goals. Each of our esteemed guests, business owners and CEOs, shared their personal journeys on how they built their organizations from the ground up while having to teach themselves along the way. By sharing their stories during this webinar, they hoped to inspire other aspiring entrepreneurs to pursue their passion and achieve their goals.
E4Women in Media
The E4Women in Media webinar featured 8 women from various sectors within the film and media industries. Each panelist shared their personal experience and advice as Asian American women and creators in a non-traditional career field. This conversation focused on filmmaking, writing, digital marketing, and podcast/broadcast media.
MediActivism is an online panel discussion for young adults (ages 18-25) who are interested in learning how to understand different forms of media in community activism. We believe that anyone can use media to tell a story, or create awareness and educate others about important issues and events. ACMA is honored to host a special guest panel of individuals who use their knowledge and platform to empower the Asian American and Pacific Islander community.
We encourage student organizations and college departments to share this valuable resource with their members. For more information on upcoming webinars, visit our Youth Webinars Page.
Our Storytellers: AAPI Filmmakers
During AAPI Heritage Month, we want to bring attention to the filmmakers that are working to share our stories and create space for others in the industry. Our Storytellers: AAPI Filmmakers will be a panel discussion for rising and aspiring filmmakers. We will focus on identity and advocacy, advice on getting into the industry, and the future of film and television media for AAPI folks.
Our first MediActivism webinar took place in July 2020, when racial solidarity amongst the Black and Asian communities became a rising topic. During our panel, we welcomed Asian community leaders who specialize in educating others about social justice and advocacy. We discussed the ways that young people can better understand media, use their media skills to advocate for social justice and to create solidarity.
Building Pathways Webinars provide the knowledge and resources for AAPI students and professionals navigating their career pathways. Each installation of this series will focus on focus areas of the career development journey, as well as focus industries of interest within film, media, and marketing.
The Peer-to-Peer Professionals Webinar features a guest speaker panel of young professionals who have made big strides into their respective industries, or who are continuing their higher-education journey through master programs and special studies. This webinar was hosted to inspire and advise young creators and filmmakers on what steps they might need to take next in their professional journeys.
Career Empowerment Webinar
The September Youth Webinar, will be the first installation Building Pathways. This panel discussion is for students and young professionals who are seeking knowledge and resources in paving their career pathways.
